Long Term Accommodation

At Robust Care we provide long term accommodation options for participants. Our goal is to always provide participants with choice and control over the way they live. Our accommodation options are large spacious homes in the suburbs of Victoria all our homes are close to public transport, parks, and shopping centres.

Participants remain responsible for meeting their day to day living costs, including rent, groceries and utilities. Within our accommodation homes Robust Care provides full time care and support. No matter what level of support needed, from help with daily activities, such as showering and meal preparation, to transport to appointments or just getting out and about into the community we provide the assistance needed.

Our care ranges from 24 hours / 7 days a week to just for a few hours a day. Our goal is to provide the support you need to live the way you choose.

Participants who have extreme functional impairment or very high support needs may be eligible for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). Participants who are eligible for SDA receive funding for their accommodation costs as part of their plan.

Staff Support

All our carers are highly trained to ensure participants get the personalized care they need. Our carer ratio to participants depends on the needs of our participants. We also have a carer available overnight.

Community Participation

We want to make a participant’s stay with us as enjoyable as possible. This means our activities are tailored to what they enjoy. This could be going shopping, seeing a movie, visiting a park or even enjoying playing a sport.

Spacious and Private Accommodation

For all of our participants privacy is a priority. That is why all our participants don’t share rooms, but have their own private single rooms. All our respite accommodation have at least five bedrooms, some with ensuites.

However, it is also important to have spacious living areas – especially if they have friends or family visiting. That’s why our accommodation options have at least two lounge rooms and spacious gardens.

Flexibility

We understand that each Participant is different. That’s why our care is led by their choices, needs and goals. We actively promote independence in a safe and non-discriminative environment.

The length of our stays can vary from overnight, weekends or a holiday. What a participant is entitled to when it comes to short term accommodation is listed in their NDIS plan
